DISCIPLE

pronounciation

[disi’p:(ə)l]

definition

A person who follows and learns from a teacher or leader

INTRODUCTION:

Being a disciple isn’t just about knowledge — it’s about your whole life.
Here, you get the time and space to grow as a disciple, together with others who genuinely want to follow Jesus.
Through teaching, practice, community, and everyday life, you learn to know God more deeply, become familiar with the Bible, listen to His voice, and live a life that transforms both you and the world around you.

Here, you are shaped — for life, for service, and for everything God has called you to.

TEACHING

Throughout the school year, you’ll get solid, engaging teaching from the Bible and see how all kinds of people use their gifts to follow Jesus in real, everyday life. Together, we discover more about our own place in God’s story — and how we can make a difference in a world He loves.
You’ll also get practical tools, support, and guidance that help you grow personally and get equipped for the life waiting for you after this year.

PRACTICE

Practical experience is a big and important part of life at the school – both in the church and out in the community. You’ll get to be part of everything happening in the IMI movement: Impuls, Godhet Norge, the Open Heaven conferences – and so much more. At the same time, you’ll get plenty of experiences outside the church walls.

As a church-based Bible school, we’re passionate about helping you grow in your unique gifts, interests, and calling. You’re not here to become a copy of someone else – but to become the person God created you to be.

Your practice can include anything from youth ministry, the Godhet Festival, or missions, to children’s ministry, student work, media production, community projects, and more.
And if you’re local, we’re happy to partner with your home church for your practice period.

TEAM PERIOD

The spring “Team Period” is more than a trip – it’s an opportunity to experience what God is doing today in a completely new way, firsthand. Over the course of a few intense weeks, you’ll encounter a different culture, people with different stories, and Christians who carry their own unique passion. It’s a time when faith grows in real encounters with the world, and when your perspective is stretched far beyond what you already know.

For many, this is the first time they truly feel the foreign on their skin – the smells, the sounds, the pace, the people, and the challenges. It can feel unfamiliar, but it’s often here that God does something deep. When you step outside your comfort zone, you don’t just discover new sides of the world; you discover new sides of yourself and of who God is.

The Team Period is filled with moments that leave a mark: conversations that open hearts, encounters with people living in different realities, and worship services where God’s presence is felt in surprising ways. There is room for both service and learning – and for seeing that your faith truly carries you even when you stand in the unknown.

Many return home changed. With a deeper faith. With greater gratitude. With new courage. And with a stronger understanding that God is moving far beyond Norway’s borders – and that they themselves are part of what He is doing in the world.

The Team Period is an adventure. But most of all, it is a journey with God.
